These terms apply when you create a host account on Zeracar, including Zeracar Verify and the booking pages and tools that come with it (together, the "Platform"). The Platform is operated by Kampussaga India Enterprise Private Limited ("Zeracar", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. What Zeracar is
Zeracar is software for people who rent out self-drive vehicles. It lets you check a guest's identity and driving licence through DigiLocker (with the guest's consent), publish a booking page, and manage your cars, bookings, money and partner hosts.
Zeracar is not a car rental company. We do not own, operate, insure or inspect any vehicle. We are not a party to the rental between you and your guest, and we do not hold or transfer money between you.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract, either for yourself or for your business.
- The details you give us must be true and kept up to date. We may approve, decline or ask for more information before activating an account.
- Keep your password safe. You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by people you give access to.
- Use one account per business. Do not create extra accounts to get more free checks or to avoid a suspension.
3. Your responsibilities as a host
- Your vehicles and your business. You are responsible for your vehicles' registration, permits, insurance, fitness, taxes and any licence or approval your business needs. Zeracar does not check these and does not give legal advice about them.
- Your rentals. You set your prices, rental terms, deposits, cancellation and refund rules, and you deal with your guests directly. Your booking page says the booking is with you, not with Zeracar.
- Payments. Guests pay you directly, for example to your UPI. We do not take a commission on your bookings and we are not responsible for payment disputes between you and a guest.
- Your decisions. A verification result is an aid, not a guarantee. Always check the guest and the driving licence in person at handover, and decide for yourself whether to rent.
- Following the law. You must follow the laws that apply to you, including consumer protection, tax and data protection laws.
4. Guest verification and guest data
- Run a verification only on a guest who has agreed to it on the Zeracar verification page.
- Use guest information only to decide whether to rent to that guest, to keep your vehicles and others safe, and to meet legal duties. Do not use it for marketing, lending, profiling, harassment or any unrelated purpose.
- Do not copy, sell, publish or share guest information, except where the law requires or the guest agrees.
- Keep guest information secure and delete what you no longer need.
- Results come from DigiLocker and other third-party sources. They may be late, incomplete or wrong, and a "Passed" result does not promise how a guest will behave.
5. Feedback and the host network
Hosts can leave feedback about guests, and other Zeracar hosts can see a guest's result and feedback, but not their address. Only post feedback that is honest, factual and based on your own rental. Do not post anything false, abusive, discriminatory or defamatory. We may review, hide or remove feedback, and we may give a guest a way to respond to or dispute it.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the Platform to commit fraud, create fake bookings, avoid plan limits, scrape or copy data, reverse engineer or disrupt the service, upload harmful code, or break any law. Do not use it to discriminate against guests unlawfully.
7. Plans, checks and fees
- Zeracar has a Free plan and paid plans. What each includes, such as the number of guest checks, cars and partner hosts, is shown in the app and on our website.
- A check is one guest verification. Checks included in a plan are used within the period shown in the app and do not roll over unless the plan says so. A check is returned in the situations the app describes, for example when a link expires unused.
- Paid plans are charged as shown to you when you choose them, with taxes added where they apply. Fees already paid are not refundable unless the law requires it or we say otherwise in writing.
- We may change plans, prices and the limits of the Free plan. We will give reasonable notice, and a change will not reduce what you have already paid for in your current period.
8. Your data and our licence
You keep ownership of the information you put into the Platform, such as your cars, photos and bookings. You give us permission to store and process it to provide the service, keep it secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal requirements, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Third-party services
The Platform depends on third parties, including DigiLocker and its authorised providers, hosting and messaging services, UPI and WhatsApp. We do not control them. If they are unavailable or change, parts of Zeracar may not work.
10. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Zeracar available but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features, and we may pause the service for maintenance.
11. Suspension and ending your account
You can stop using Zeracar at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts guests or other hosts at risk, or that we must close to follow the law. When an account ends, we handle data as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Disclaimers and limits of liability
The Platform is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, Zeracar is not liable for losses connected to your rentals, including damage, theft, accidents, challans or fines, unpaid amounts, disputes with guests, or decisions you make using a verification result. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to cover us for claims, losses and costs that come from your rentals, your breach of these terms, or your misuse of guest information.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have that cannot be waived. If something goes wrong, please write to us first so we can try to resolve it.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we make a significant change we will tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using Zeracar after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
